How would you describe the way humans treat animals ? Should this change ?
I think
that the question is too general, also there’s so hard to explain. There’re two
ways to see the things, one is all the cruelty that the humans cause, and we
violate animal rights. For example it’s wrong for humans to use animals for
food, clothing, experiment or anything else, but other way to see it is that under
some circumstances it is acceptable to exploit or use animals, as long as we
ensure that the animals are treated humanely in the process.
I
completely disagree with bullfights, and all kind of fights that involve animals.
Those things are pure cruelty to the animals that are involve, they not only
torture them, and they make fun of them. People that kill animals for “fun”
just don’t understand and don’t realize that animal are alive and they can feel
and suffer just like us.
Another sad
issue is the fur in the fashion industry, every year millions of animals are killed
for the clothing industry, all in the name of fashion. That’s not even close to
a justify excuse, I mean is not like “Ok, we have to kill the animals because
we need food”, no humans kill those poor animal just because fashion, to “look
good”.
In an article I found that in May 2012, asked
participants whether they considered wearing fur morally acceptable. Of the
1024 people included, 60% saw fur as morally acceptable–a 4% increase from the
same poll taken one year earlier. However, in 2012, only 35% believed fur to be
morally wrong–a 4% decrease from the 39% who were totally anti-fur in 2011.
I found a
very good video about it, it’s a runaway with fur but kind of different.
We can make the change and I'm glad to say that this generation and hopefully the future ones, are aware of the huge difference we are making to all those innocent animals.
